I would not mind Kroger opening its Kroger Marketplace hypermarket stores in the Greenville area. It would compete against Walmart Supercenter stores in the hypermarket sector.
Harris Teeter in Easley would not be a bad idea. I think it would open a store in the Powdersville community first.

Unconfirmed reports have now surfaced that indicate that Popeyes at long last may be planning a franchise for Greenville. This may be a significant development, as I have indeed heard that the Upstate market was under consideration for a Popeyes franchise expansion. Now awaiting official confirmation and further developments. But would be great to finally have a Popeyes Chicken in Greenville, SC. Hopefully not hearsay but will continue to monitor developments.

I think a LUSH store in the downtown area would be an absolute hit. I was looking to see if they franchised but from what I understand, they don't want many such stores in close proximity. ATL is the closest store they have and don't want to put one in Greenville, SC because of that.
