Default Oconee Medical Center joining Greenville Health System

The expansion is after the fact of Oconee Medical Center and Greenville Health System approving a letter of intent that would allow Oconee Medical Center to join Greenville Health System.

Is there a hospital in the NW part of SC that isn't part of either the Greenville Health System, Bon Secours, or AnMed? AnMed is itself partnered with an even bigger group of hospitals centered around Charlotte.

It makes me wonder what the driving force is behind these "health networks"

So far as I know, Self is still 'independent'.

Laurens was affiliated with Self until a year or so ago, when they joined up with GHS. You go by the Laurens hospital and there's a bunch of doctors offices with the Self logo and a bunch with the GHS logo. A fair number of the Self-affiliated offices there have closed recently

I was going to say Cannon Hospital in Pickens (AnMed Health) and Baptist Easley (Greenville Health System). I cannot say yes.
