How was your experience with Hartwell Marina?

Any tips for the lake?

We've been considering renting a boat on one of the lakes for a while now, and I think we'll probably do it in the next week or two.

We had a fantastic time on Friday. I had a Living Social deal from Hartwell Marina...all day pontoon rental for $120 (1/2 off, weekdays only). We also rented a tube for $50 that could hold two kids or one adult.

Friday was a perfect day weather wise. The lake was super smooth most of the day and very light traffic.

We decided to just pack lunch and eat dinner in Anderson after leaving the lake. We found a campground that had a restroom, which pleased our female passengers. We had a total of nine people on the pontoon.

We mostly pulled the tube, but stopped a couple of times to just swim. We cruised around the lake some also. Used about 3/4 tank of gas which came out to $68. Spent about 8 hours on the lake.

The folks at Hartwell (GA) Marina were super nice and professional. Highly recommend them. They said they may run the Living Social deal again next spring. I plan to get two next time!!

Thanks for everyone's input!

Thanks beckycat, looks like a good deal, you save about $30-40 M-Th. It's for the smaller 8 person boat, that does not tow.

Use code EXTRA10 for 10% off on the LivingSocial Deal.
