We finally got to visit your amazing downtown and surrounding areas! Hi BeckyCat! If anyone is thinking of moving to the upper state, do not hesitate. We took our son to Clemson orientation. Love the campus and area! Bontanical Gardens were lovely. Clemson area.
Gvl downtown is; clean, welcoming, great shops and restaurants. The live music outside of the Hyatt was great and the piece de resistance - Reedy Falls Amazing! Our teens wanted to stay hours and were down in the rocks and falls. It was fairly hot but coming from Fl, we're used to.
As far as neighborhoods, all seemed nice and we saw a lot of new construction. My personal favorite was Simpsonville. I liked the area, shops and their little town. Some high end homes but others were within our budget. Beautiful area just a few minutes south of downtown. Hope to be back, girls weekend, for Gvl Festival in October. Looks like a very fun time. Just wanted to take a moment to express my positive view of Gvl. A charming town with character!!
I can't agree with you more about downtown Greenville. It is very appealing
Here's hoping your thread gets back on topic. Thanks for coming back and sharing.
Wow got a taste reading about Clemson edu. Our son is studying biomed. I'm sure he'll be challenged. He chose Clemson over my alma FSU. It better be outstanding! Lol I hear it is. Not sure what his plans are for grad school. Let's get him through undergrad first. I'm just thankful I'm NOT yelling; "Go Gators!"

Go Tigers! It's exciting for us!
The FSU/Clemson game should be fun for your family!
I dunno....I would assume most who enroll in most of those MBA or real estate programs are working and they are taking them at night. I don't think those kind of programs really help much in getting a job....seems like everybody and their uncle has a MBA from night school these days. My older bro got his and said it was kind of pointless but his company paid for it.
One thing I recently learned is Clemson use to have branch schools like SC does....one was actually in Greenville at Greenville Tech. Another was in Sumter at what is now University of South Carolina - Sumter.
I believe you have to be working to be enrolled in the MBA program.
I work in the field and was just curious what the grads are doing after this program, and if the program is popular. Also, what jobs they do now... I'm just curious- I may never go back to school I'm more curious than anything.
^^For the record: the Automotive Engineering program has been very successful and is over its projected enrollment. Additional classroom/lab space is having to planned for.
