Started to respond... then chose to use the ignore list. Some provocations just aren't worth an effort. Adios C. M.

That's great! I'm a Nole girl but I'm supporting our son and I'm glad he got out of Fl. It's not the same. If you're in the top 1% you're great if not you're in a struggle. My family owns a small insurance agency. I shifted from State Farm, whom aren't writing homeowners in Fl, to our independent agency. Many clients are in a struggle. No not like NY, CT, CA but it's heading there except your pension is not taxed. We're seeing homeowner's premiums from 2800-6k for a modest home. Larger homes, 4 mil, 18k a year for insurance and not including property tax, high also.
People I know in the middle class are leaving. Heading to; GA, TN, NC, SC, VA. I realize there is no perfect area and the country is hurting in many states. I know a few people who left for GA a few years ago and now are back in Fl trying to make it.
I've been eyeing Gvl for two years. Was thrilled son got the acceptance to Clem and when other child grads in 2016 heading out of here! Going with a group of friends Oct to Fall for Gvl. I'm in shock over low home prices in your area! wow

Jacksonville actually sent a team to study downtown Greenville a few years ago.

I wouldn't have thought a big city like that would look to lil G Vegas for inspiration.

I was in Jacksonville this past week and its downtown seemed much better. Vibrant now, I instinctlively knew they had studied Greenville and Google confirmed it
