Heck yea! I've been ready! When are they supposed to start and complete this thing? I hope it doesn't hurt Haywood.

That seems so far away. So it is a mall, but just a different style?

^^Outdoor lifestyle center. Site plan on official website. Haywood Mall is 1,250,000 square feet. Magnolia Park will be around 1,480,000 square feet.

Edit to previous post: 1,457,200 square feet for MPTC, not 1,480,000.

There is a huge difference between a fully retail mall like Haywood and a mixed-use lifestyle center like Magnolia Park. You can't really compare the two in terms of size because one is restricted to retail and restaurant space while the other typically incorporates a significant amount of office, hotel, and residential space. Basically I am simply saying that Magnolia Park Town Center will not become the state's largest retail center, if completely built according to its current plans.

Magnolia Park Town Center. Please take note of these and other site plan changes:

-Proposed Apple Store increased from 4,000 to 5,100 square feet and now on south side of complex
-More green space to the north of proposed REI
-Rooms To Go confirmed
-More brick/designer pavement on roads
-New entrance to the right of RTG
-Proposed Trader Joes increased from 15,000 to 15,500 square feet
-Proposed Cheesecake Factory increased from 10,000 to 10,300 square feet
-New parking garage just north and east of Rooms To Go. Notice the ramps.

New site plan: Magnolia Park Shopping Mall in Greenville, South Carolina

Amount of retail/restaurant not yet built at MPTC on old site plan: 320,300

Amount of retail/restaurant not yet built at MPTC on new site plan: 320,800

It looks better and actually got bigger. The square footage listed above does not include Costco, Hollywood 20, Sports Authority, hotel, health club, office, and residential space. The only thing that was taken out between the old site plan and the new one is the office space above the parking garages next to I-385. The office/residential space above the retail still exists.

Talking CompUSA Location?

g-man- Thanks for all this info! I am new to the area, so not sure I get the reference.

Question, do you think they will be incorporating the former CompUSA site into this plan?

Thanks for all the info. Apple Store is enough for me, but adding Trader Joe's, Borders, and Cheescake Factory? Glad I work just on the other side of 385....
