I just LOVE how developers will slash & burn property, only to NOT build on it...
Good example of that is Butler Rd -385 where that Cades Restaurant is. They built a road through the property, built that restaurant (was Pawleys now Cades), built a small office building, niether buiding matches in design-and nothing else has been built there sense. The whole development looks tacky, no vision -looks like its just going to be a collection of odd looking mis-matched buidings eventually. Typical of the development that occurs around that area.
Check out what was proposed near the airport about 5 years ago before the recession hit. The top center is more of a big box center like Greenridge and the bottom center is an outdoor mall anchored by three department stores.
Would have made traffic even worse.
I'm assuming the anchors would be, based on the site plan:
Top center: Home Depot (?), Kohl's, Super Target
Bottom Center: Bass Pro Shops, JCPenney (?), Belk (?)

Yes, most of it would have been duplication of same retail that exists several miles away. Totally not needed that close to Woodruff/Haywood.
La Parilla (yes, the same one originally for Magnolia Park) coming to One Market Point Drive at the Point instead. Construction bids go out April 16th.

That's a pretty good location hopefully. I realize several along that row of restaurants have not faired well, but being right on Woodruff should help.

Doesn't bode well for Magnolia that they keep losing these tennants. What are they going to fill that supposed town center with.
National sleep store, upscale therapeutic massage establishment, and real estate office for building between Cheddar's and McDonalds....yawn.
