I'll be passing through town (miss it so much) early November to go to the mountains.

Is it worth a stop to check it out?

I wish I could find one of the Google maps of the inside of the Greenville store so I could get an idea of the inside.

It's a nice store, but I wouldn't go out of the way to visit. The BPS that will be built in Greer, may end up being the bigger draw.

It's a great store. Albeit a bit smaller than their mammoth old stores but still a great experience. I was a little disappointed with their shotgun/gun museum part. It was quite small.

The aquarium and animal pyramid are nice touches though.

We just had a chance to check it out a couple of weekends ago and it's a nice store with pretty much everything you'd expect to see at Cabela's. It doesn't quite compare to the Dundee store, but it's still nice. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you've nevr been to a Cabela's before.

Have already been to the massive Cabela's up near Detroit, so haven't bothered seeing it here. The store up there is like a mini theme park. Indoor trout streams, a mini mountain covered in real wildlife, indoor walk-through aquarium and a live game café. It even has a small "lake" where you can test out boats.

Thanks everyone. Your replies help.

I guess I thought it was going to be massive. When I was trying to find info about it, I found this video which described it as the largest Cabelas in the Southeast and more of a destination place, so I was thinking it would be huge with all the bells and whistles. Oh well, we'll see how our time is and might stop by.

DD, you're going to be very surprised at how Magnolia Park has changed - unfortunately, Dave & Buster's isn't open yet - but, stop at Yard House and marvel at the 130 beers on tap.

I have been to Cabela's twice. It is a nice store. The showroom features only exclusive Cabela's brand products, which might be better than Bass Pro Shops.

Between two Bass Pro Shops and one Cabela's stores, I think Bass Pro Shops is better.

Cabela's and many other retail stores that built massive physical structures and now downsizing. Revenue per square foot is dropping and hurting their earnings.
