Default Airport shuttle from Simpsonville to Charlotte

Has anyone ever taken a shuttle or limo service to go from Simpsonville or Greenville to the Charlotte airport.

We were wondering if this is even cost effective or would it cost a fortune. We are going to MA for 1 1/2 weeks and thought it might be better than driving ourselves and parking.

Thanks

Parking at Charlotte airport is easy and inexpensive. I believe it is $3/day for uncovered "remote" parking (which is not very far with parking lot shuttles coming along often). We paid $5/day for a covered garage spot over Thanksgiving. Shuttles usually charge per person and make a lot of stops. I can't see it costing less than parking ( if such a shuttle exists?), but have never done a shuttle to Charlotte.

Default Airport Shuttle Simpsonville SC

The best way to travel to Charlotte Douglas International Airport is to use SouthEast Transportation. You can ride the shuttle for 60.00 per person. This shuttle departs 5 times a day every 4 hours. With the amount of gas and time you spend driving yourself this is the most cost effective way to go. 877-2111 or use simpsonville phone 963-2000

How so? If it's a family of 4 that's $240/one way, $480 r/t, not including tip; not to mention that no time is being saved, it's gonna take the same amount of time if one's being driven or driving themselves. I fly outta Charlotte almost twice a month for business and I always drive. It's a simple hour and a half straight shot right up 85, plus as Art mentioned they have the cheapest parking of any airport that I know of, although they did raise it to $4/day last week. Also gas has dropped quite significantly in the last two weeks making it much easier on the wallet to drive.

If your rich and have a lot of disposable money, take the shuttle. If you're on a budget and smart with money, you drive.
