Hello...new here, and just curious if anyone can provide me some info about the neighborhood we're considering moving into. We've looked at locations on Pine Street in Greer, one of the neighborhoods behind Wood Mortuary. Is it safe back there, as far as crime, if anyone knows? I have never heard of anything untoward going on, on those old tree-lined streets, but it would be a help to get other input. All the houses out there look nice and well kept, so I'm just curious. Thanks a lot.

I know someone who lives on Pine and backs up to the cemetery but haven't talked to her in a while. She's never mentioned any problems living there. I'm not sure about that area as a whole, driven down a few of those streets. Lots of small homes.

Best thing you can do, see the link below, talk to neighbors and call the Grrrrrrr Police Dept and ask them. Better ask questions from those who would know the best!

Looked myself and was surprised. Nothing right in that area that came up with a June 2014 til today search, but lots of stuff in the area. If you have small kids, make sure to check off to show the sex offenders that may be in that area. You can put in Greer, SC or Pine Street in Greer.

Used to live on Pine Street. Had my car stolen from there on Valentine's night...
Still, crime was not the biggest issue there. It's the people who want to cut between Wade Hampton and Poinsett and think the speed limit is 75 on Pine Street.

After looking at everything I think we'll go with it. The immediate area seems free of offenders, and there hasn't been any reported crime around the street in quite some time...that website came in quite handy, btw. Thank you all for your input!
