Haven't heard anything...I'll see if I can catch one of the workers there and ask if they know sometime. Re-coating /painting entire parking lot, painted exterior of entire shopping center tan, and they're working on the inside of the former Winn Dixie including a large hole near front doors.

I would not be surprised to see the former Winn-Dixie #1225 being gutted. It needs the rehabilitation.

Yes indeed, and hopefully we'll have a new grocery option soon, or at least a better chance of obtaining one.

Default Dollar Tree #9033, Oakdale Shopping Center, 700 East Main Street Suite 11, Duncan, South Carolina 29334-9115

Has there been any activity in preparation for Dollar Tree #9033 recently? It has been approximately a year since plans initialized.

The Dollar Tree green awning was put in place Aug'15. Nothing visible has happened since, although the front door is open today which may just be tied to the work currently ongoing in the former adjacent Winn Dixie. The back of that open door still had a CVS store closing soon sign taped to it.

Well...there goes my hopes for a closer grocery store...they've put temporary banners up at the former Winn-Dixie building for "Mighty Dollar - Where everything's $1.00!", opening scheduled for Saturday August 27, 2016.

The former Winn-Dixie #1225 is a large space for a dollar store. I would think the former CVS #3928 would be an ideal space for Mighty Dollar.

I will second the need for another grocery store north of Interstate 85, especially in Lyman. Bi-Lo #5446, 12189 Greenville Highway, Lyman, South Carolina 29365-1511, and Food Lion #2642, 300 Spartanburg Highway, Lyman, South Carolina 29365-1809, are sad supermarket options.

Yes the size of the available space surprised me, but I'm not familiar with Mighty Dollar store sizes. I wonder if in the end they're using the entire space or not, but then again it's sat vacant so long that rent may be cheap enough to warrant it. Eiher way the parking lot has been re-coated, lines repainted, and they've worked on the lights as well so at least it's coming back to life.

They probably divided the space up into smaller stores. They did this with several former Winn Dixie stores in Greenville County including Wade Hampton and TR. Imagine it's much easier to lease them that way. I think Mighty Dollar is in the old Wade Hampton WD store as well as a clothing store.
