...are people just too fat and lazy to park in a garage and walk a few blocks?

Or they could be like my husband and just refuse to pay for parking .

It's free to park in the Richardson Street garage on the weekends.

Or it could be that many people are not able to walk a long distance. Why don't you put your butt in a wheel chair and try to go up the ramp at Richardson Street. This is several times you have made off hand remarks about people getting around Greenville.

Well, yes, and that's where we park on the weekends, but we go there during the week, too.

We almost always park at County Square, or any of the other free parking areas.

As Greenville's downtown grows expansively in two directions, primarily west and north, parking options will become limited. Although parking decks will add numerous parking spaces for certain districts, it is not enough to keep up with the anticipated growth.

The elevated personal rapid transit being discussed in "Rapid Transit Coming to Greenville?" would thrive downtown.

Default West End Parking Garage: Speculation

I noticed in the article a possibility of a parking garage in the West End. I know it would give street cars, various automobiles on streets, an option to park elsewhere. Are there any possible locations where a parking garage could go?

It's not bad if you know where to park. I went to the Comedy Zone tonight, parked in the garage behind the Hyatt. Real easy.

We were at the Comedy Zone last evening, 7pm show. We were the shuffleboard couple, lol. We had a great time, and will return. We parked in the Robertson Garage(I think this was the name). It was free!
