Rosa Linda brings a bunch of tacos, tortas, ect. Meat is barbacoa, lingua, pollo, carnitas, and others. You can drive through Berea and find a half dozen places you've never heard of. All of which will be better than Monterrey and Guadalajara or any other chain joint.

LOVE Rosalinda's (although haven't been in forever)! Luvs me some Rosie! We always stop by her booth at Fall for Greenville, etc. Rosalinda's had a much more upscale atmosphere when her brother Carlos ran the place. What a great guy! But, Rosalinda's food is the most un-typical Mexican we've come across.

Don Pablos on Haywood Rd. is excellent! Their carnitas are delicious! The side of fresh avocado, cilantro, and red onion tops the dish of nicely.

I've always been curious about that place. but I've never seen any comment about it. So, it's good, huh?

I don't know about their carnitas, but their Primarita (premium Margarita) is the best I've found so far in Greenville. It comes in a little carafe, so you get a lot for your money, and they are wonderful!
As for food, the guacamole is pretty good. You can get three types of beans with your entree. I usually get carne asada with a chipotle butter or the grilled shrimp with a citrus butter sauce. Both are really good, but I'd ask them to go easy on the butter sauce if you order the carne asada.

Happened to try Nazario's on Saluda Dam Road tonight. Overall, very good. The salsas were excellent (spicy and mild) and for once I actually preferred the mild - lots of cilantro. The chips were great - cooked perfectly. I ordered a recent special: 2 Poblano peppers with chicken. This was an interesting dish because it was covered in spicy white gravy with a layer of egg/breading beneath. The peppers were authentic and filled with chicken and onions. Overall this was a good dish and just different. My wife ordered the chicken fajitas - standard fare but very good. The refried beans were very thin (I liked them, my wife did not). The guacamole was excellent. This restaurant was spotless and was continuously cleaned. Service was very good. Patrons are served at large tables and there's plenty of space. Pepsi products are served.
Final Verdict: this restaurant is a "drive" for us (9 miles) - we may return in the future if we want something "different" 8/10
