Default Considering relocating to Spartanburg-home rental

The potential position is near Oak Grove Road in Spartanburg, and I am seeking input on areas to consider for housing. I would be looking to rent a home for perhaps a year before considering purchase.
I enjoy privacy.I am not attracted to "all a city has to offer"-type amenities.I have few needs in that arena.I am just looking for advice on areas to consider in relative location to Oak Grove Road area without a 30+ minute commute.I would appreciate any input.Maximum rental range is $750.00, and I am not considering apartment housing.I am in my 50's,single.

Hi JMT,
Oak Grove Road has several neighborhoods with home rentals. One that comes to mind is Royal Oak townhomes. Most of the residents are homeowners, but a few are available for rent. Each is privately owned and no cental management company is over the neighborhood, so you would have to call the #'s on an individual residence. Single family homes are a little tough to find with out riding through and calling individual locations. Its a great area and I think you would find it very convienient. Good Luck and Welcome to Spartanburg!!!
