Planning to drive to Greenville this week. Wss going to go tomorrow (Monday), depending on weather there. Driving from New Orleans. Should I expect bad flooding conditions in Greenville this week?
It should be no problem if arriving from that direction . The weather should clear by Tuesday and there will only be a few secondary roads and bridges remaining damaged. The area as a whole should almost be back to normal otherwise. (Minus a number of trees also)
Ya, most of the flooding you're probably seeing on the news is south / southeast of the Greenville area. Rivers and creeks are all high but you should be just fine.
Visit wwGreer, SC for forecast details from the local National Weather Service office. They usually put out updates to the daily forecast between 5-6amEST should something change or follow them on Twitter @nwsGSP
Typical rush hour time traffic jams are going to be i85 at mm51-56 area in Greenville.
It rained on my home home from dinner over near Cherrydale last night too. I thought, "Enough already!"
The rest of the week looks like fabulous weather, and I'm glad that we're due to have great weather for our Fall for Greenville festival this weekend. It's something, like Artisphere, that I look forward to from one year to the next.
