How about those nice and thoughtful folks at Cycle Haus in Simpsonville? They send out a pace car to prevent motorist from passing their cyclist completely blocking Grandview Dr. Their riders must be really special since they don't have to stop for red lights either.

I've always believed that IF you ride your bike to work OR you ride your bike so many miles to the store/town, etc. That you should get a tax break/rebate.

There is really no way to tax those of us who ride our bikes. We pay taxes like everyone else does so I am failing to see the point in paying a bike tax.

Call local LE, running a light is running a light.

In many States registration/tags is based on weight of vehicle. A bicycle registration would be pennies added to the bill already being paid since rarely do you find riders that don't also drive.

You must have missed this part:
A person riding a bicycle upon a roadway must be granted all of the rights and is subject to all of the duties applicable to the driver of a vehicle by this chapter

Bikes are subject to the same laws as motor vehicles. Impeding traffic on a bike is the same as impeding traffic while driving a car.

If they intended the law to apply to non motorized vehicles, it wouldn't state motorized. It would only state all vehicles shall not impede traffic.
