Default Dacusville and Pickens High

Can anyone tell me a little about Dacusville? Likes/dislikes on the area. Pickens High School? I hear that the Wren District is a very good one. Can anyone out there tell me a little about Pickens High and that particular school district? My son will be in high school next year and if we decide to move to this area Pickens High would be his home school. Your thoughts/opinions, please. Any other areas such as this one that someone can recommend would be great also. Thanks.

I think you can get info onwww.pickens. k12.sc. Also if you do a google search on Pickens High there is a lot of info. Dacusville is a small town with a country feel (it is a couple of miles from my house). The people are very friendly and outgoing. My neighbors children go to Pickens High and they are pleased with it. They are involved in community sports at the Dacusville Rec. as well.

Talking My Heart My Home

Dacusville is a great place the people are friendly, the sites are beautiful. I graduated from Pickens High in 07. I will tell you the gods honest truth, people make fun of people from pickens saying they are stupid country rednecks. Mostly, People from Easley. But I know first hand about Pickens High School. The teachers are wonderful, I can tell you some great ones- Ms. Ayers 11th grade Chem., Ms. Butler 10th grade english, Mr. Campbell- Health and P.E, Dr. Wnukowski is considered mean by most students, and she is a hard person to deal with if you have to but she is loved by the parents because she is by the book. She's the 9th grade assistant principle. It's a shame they don't have Coach Fields there anymore but he was the 10th grade assistant principle. Mr. Faithful is a great teacher he will make your kid want to participate as much as a teacher can make a kid want to participate- he's the 9th grade math teacher. Coach Brooks 12th grade Science- Well anyway as for the school it's kind of small so all the kids know all the kids, but there are ""Cliches"" but not really. Most everyone hangs out with everyone else. You won't have to worry about your kids afterschool when they are hanging out with their friends, because there isn't much to do in Pickens/Easley area. It truly is a great school and this is from someone who went there. I know what I am talking about.

Default Great place to live

My wife teaches at Pickens High School and she loves it but the facilities leave a little bit to be desired. The good news is that they are about to build a brand new high school which I believe will be ready in 2009.

I was surprised to see that the new school will be out on U.S. 178, not even in town. This was recently done in Easley as well, if I remember correctly. Their new high school is out on S.C. 135, right?

I hear Powdersville is very close to building their new high school, which will cover land next to the current elementary and middle schools on Hood Road.

Default Easley school

I believe Easley's new location is on Hwy.8 near the Dan Foss Plant. I live near Dacusville and have heard nothing but good reports on Pickens High. Dacusville has some beautiful mountain views. There seems to be a lot activity at the Dacusville Recreation Center for kids who like sports.
