Reputable Fence Builder?
We will soon be needing someone to fence in our back yard with a wooden privacy fence. Have yet to call contractors for estimates. I know that it will cost a few grand.
Anyone have this done recently? Who do you recommend? How much did it end up costing you?
Thanks in advance!

American Fence is who we used and they were GREAT! We had a scallop 6Ft fence put in and it cost us around $3000. They really did a great job and someone can by a few days later to check that the job was done satisfactory.

Do not use Cutting Edge Landscaping. The price was good but the quality of the job was terrible. I don't know who to recommend but save yourself a lot of grief and stay away from these guys.

I used Backyard Co. They were very good. My fence is a scalloped picket style and 4'6" tall at the highest point. I think we had about 200' of fence, (1) 8' double gate and (1) 4' single gate. I believe the total was around 3,300.

We used Triple A Fence from Greenville. We had the six foot scallop fence with two gates installed and across the back facing the wooded area we had what looks like a 4ft wrought iron fence put in. The fence is actually manufactured, baked aluminum which is less costly and has a super warranty. In all it took the crews 3-4 days to complete. They did an outstanding job. It cost us in the neighborhood of $3500 I believe. It is worth a call.

Advanced Fence Systems
You definitely need to use Advanced Fence Systems. Here's his website: Advanced Fence Systems. They are the best in the upstate and are very professional. The owner does all the fencing for Michelin, Clemson University, and other big companies in the upstate. Roger has been in fence for over 25 years and is definitely the best around! Free estimate too, of course. (864)287.5111

Along these same lines, I've got to replace the wood railing on my front steps before I list my house and sell it. Anybody know of a good company/person to enlist for help with such a project? I may even replace it with wrought iron instead of wood, if the price is right. Any suggestions?
