You earn money, you get taxed <G> It's graduated up to 7.5% but talks are calling for having an option of paying a flat tax of 3.4% instead. Don't know if it will go through. Property taxes are on home value plus where you live but are reasonable. Mine last year on a $235K assessed value was about $1200. Texas has a high property tax if I'm not mistaken to offset no income tax. There is also property tax on cars that is based on value. The older the cheaper. The road tax is $15 and you pay $30 registration every 2 years. Both of these are added onto the car property tax. I have a 1991 small truck. Tax this year was $12.08 and I had to pay both road and registration this year.
I haven't and won't get my bills for my cars until October so I don't know what they'll be this year but last year it was $200 on my 2004 Toyota.
