I thought you can buy beer in grocery stores that are in the city limits of Greenville on Sunday. Liz

Thanks for the info re Sunday!
On a side related note... can you buy beer in the supermarkets on Sunday?

Yes, in selected supermarkets. The new Bi-Lo Supercenter on Laurens Road sells Beer and Wine on Sunday. Liquor stores are closed on Sunday. Restaurants within the city limits serve drinks on Sunday.
For your date night, check out:
The Lazy Goat at Riverplace. Sit on the terrace.
Bistro Europa. Small and charming. Food is excellent.

We're close to downtown WPB - just south of Southern Blvd & 1 blk W of Flagler Drive. My wife born & bred in WPB but had enough! Has a sister in Hendersonville, NC but that looks a bit too sleepy for me. Greenville looks like the best option right now, esp. for my biz. Everything subject to change though!
I like the look of Bistro Europa's menu.
Came across the Bohemian Cafe - v eclectic menu, anyone been?

It's unfortunate some of you have had bad experiences with Soby's and Overlook Grill. I don't know anyone personally who hasn't liked either one. And g-man, your Soby's experience must have been a bad night for them.

We'll give the Overlook Grill a second chance sometime. Every restaurant has a bad night, but this was a really bad night. I got the BBQ, and it was more like a soup when it came. There was SOOO much (bad) sauce. And I think they gave me the fat cutoffs instead of the meat. It was not chewable.
And g-man, I think we've had that same waiter! He checked up on us about every other bite it seemed. I finally told him that we'll be should OK for quite awhile, and he backed off a little. And I think it's powder coke, not crack that he's on. And I rarely order pork at a restaurant anymore. It's almost always over or under done.

Come to think of it, the last time I was there (couple of weeks ago) the service was a little slow and not too great. The food, however, was still good and it was sunday lunch so there wasn't much of a hurry for us. I would definitely give them another shot, though.

Must of been a bad night for me at Soby's or something. Everybody else says it's great. Maybe i'll give it another shot sometime. The funny thing is that my ribs at Overlook Grill were some of the best i've ever had. The sauce had this honey flavor to it. I'm getting hungry. LOL.

Soby's is a great choice. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a dinner to identify with Greenville. In case some of you hadn't noticed yet, there is an awesome coffee table book about Soby's available at Barnes & Noble. It is high quality.
Other dining options I recommend along (or near) Main Street include:
