Default Night life for older folks?

We are making another one of our visits to Greenville in April, and want to see what goes on in the evening downtown. We're probably staying at Pettigru Place so we don't have to drink and drive, and we want to sample restaurants and clubs. Are there any places for jazz, blues, or any other 'different' music that people in their 50's would enjoy? We really don't need loud rock- something more mellow, but live. Any suggestions? And is Pettigru our best bet for a B&B in town?

The below are all downtown:

Check out Brown Street for great jazz, drinks, cigar bar, etc.
Check out Addy's. An authentic Dutch Brown Cafe. Great drinks and laid back, mature atmosphere. Music on weekends....sometimes solo guitar, sometimes piano.....never anything really loud.
Check out The Casbah. Tapas and wine bar with live music sometimes. The crowd runs from late 20's to 50's.

Stax Peppermill is another fine dining option for sophisticated evenings. Restaurant O regularly has live music as well.

NCRyan is on a distinguished road
Sticky Fingers has live music. Typically they have blues but this weekend (2/16/08) they actually have a Johnny Cash tribute band called The Folsom Prison Gang playing there. Should be fun.

That link is from last year- are they doing it again this year? They all sound like good suggestions- we're up for anything- folk, latin, ethnic, even bluegrass. A piano bar might be a little too mellow, though.

My wife likes the lazy goat downtown I think it is in the New Hampton inn & suites building or next door I don't remember which one! She said they make a Great Martini, And she is hard to please! The lobby of the new hampton Inn looks nice you may want to look into that also. Also near by is High Cotton from Charleston and a new Middle eastern place that looks inviting, and a nice Oyster bar. Plus several new places on west Main that have just opened!
