I think the trolley is a great concept but it would be nice if the route would be expanded and hours extended. I think it should stop at more key points like the zoo, Cleveland Park, Bon Secours, Bob Jones, etc. Also, go all the way down N Main to Rutherford, part of the Augusta Rd area (maybe to Grove Rd) and lastly the Overbrook District. All of these places are within a couple miles of downtown and I think it could easily be done. I think it would bring more people to these establishments and bring more people to downtown. The other thing that would be nice if they extended the hours, at least on the weekends.
Thanks for posting this vistatiger! I guess they are paying attention to the email that I sent a week or so ago It reads just like my email. lol I think it would be a great addition to the existing trolley route.
In an effort to expand service beyond the Central Business District, Greenlink will soon add two additional trolleys to its fleet. The expanded service is expected to begin this spring and will feature two new routes. Because a portion of the funding for the new trolleys will come from tourism related taxes, the new proposed routes have been designed to provide access to restaurants, retail, parks and leisure activities. The purpose of the following public input sessions is to give citizens an opportunity to learn more about the proposed routes, ask questions and provide feedback.

Anyone else think it's weird they don't have a stop near Community Tap even though they go right by?
I think they have had to limit the number of stops as they are rolling it out. That seems like it would be an ideal location - if they get many requests, they'll certainly add it.
It's also possible they they are still planning to add it. Adding a new trolley stop is more than just hanging a sign; they may also need to pour a concrete pad to accommodate a wheelchair.
