Default Doctor recommendation needed

My 3 1/2 year old and I just moved to Simpsonville a few weeks ago. When we moved, our insurance was cancelled and of course now he's sick. Does anyone know of a place to go, that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg, around Simpsonville? Of course my new job does come with insurance but not for another 3 weeks.

Try one of the Wellspot locations that are in BiLo. I'm not sure which one Melanie Barron-Alpert is in, but I think it's one of the Simpsonville ones. I know several people who used to go to her when she was in a private practice and they all liked her. She's a nurse practitioner.

I am so sorry that you are in this situation, and I hope your little one is feeling better soon. I agree with the Wellspot suggestion. In case you are not familiar, there is a BiLo at the intersection of HWY 14 and Main st. in Simpsonville. There is also one at the Five Forks Bilo (Woodruff Road and Batesville Road corner). I know that they will see your child if he or she is over age 2.
There is a nasty flu going around that is affecting even the people that have gotten the flu shot this year.
Take care.
