The last relevant thread I could find was last active in 2007.

Does anyone have anything good to say about the company who moved you from the Northeast (NJ/NY/PA) down to the Greenville area?

My husband and I are weighing taking our chances with a mover vs. starting all over (furniture/household goods/etc.) once we move down next month.

Thanks in advance! Would love to hear good AND bad experiences

We originally moved from NJ to FL and had a pretty bad experience with a mover so when we moved from FL to SC we actually rented the truck & loaded/drove it ourselves then hired movers here in Greenville (Tiger Movers) to unload it for us while we kicked back with a beer. If you would prefer to keep your items and dont mind driving the truck then hiring help on both ends is also an option.

Yeah, I moved from Raleigh NC to here and it was a nightmare. Broke a lot of my stuff, blamed me for it since I saved them the time of packing everything. They arrived at 11 pm and didn't want to unload it all. Sorry, it was long time ago so I don't remember the name of the firm.

Good luck with your move, you'll probably need it.
