I am wondering what it's like living in Greenville. I have never been there. I have been to Spartanburg but only for one day, is it any different?
It is different. Greenville is larger and has more amenities. I would say they have different vibes also. Greenville's downtown is nicer although Spartanburg is starting to make changes with its downtown. I'm sure more will chime in.
Good churches, good high paying jobs compared to smaller towns, nice shopping and restaurants. The schools are good in parts of the county. There are low crime parts of town and running trails are nice.
Of course, I like downtown I like that Greenville is a good size and has mostly all that you need. You are close to the mountains. I also like bike nights. The weather allows for four seasons and is decent for most of the year.
We live about 15 miles outside of Greenville, but visit often. We're not into cities as a rule, but I like how accessible Greenville is. Easy in; easy out, and not a maze of one-way streets like many cities have. The city itself is beautiful, and we love taking out-of-town visitors down town. We also love the surrounding countryside, which is why we live here!
