The Commons at Turtle Creek is a planned mixed-use development on over 60 acres with residential, commercial, and healthcare uses for the southwest corner of Highway 9 and Clark Road in the Boiling Springs community in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. Residential uses may include a 216-unit apartment community and a 74-lot patio home community. Healthcare uses may include a 100-bed assisted living center. It may have been previously known as Northpointe Village.

The Commons at Turtle Creek Site Plan

The 41,638-square-feet grocery/anchor tenant appears to be a supermarket with a pharmacy drive thru. Supermarket Publix is relaunching its 38m (38,000 square feet) prototype, and a store in that prototype could be possible.

I was by the site the other day. I wonder when they plan to start construction?

Construction could start after the grocery/anchor tenant is official.

I have not heard any updates in regards to The Commons at Turtle Creek.

I have heard speculation that a sewer line needs to be extended northward along Highway 9. That could delay development.

I was told by a credible source that Publix will be taking the old Bi-Lo building in Boiling Springs.

To add to that on the corner of Clark rd and Seay rd there will be a new subdivision being built starting sometime in the next month or two.

Cypress Shopping Center is in a busy area with bad access getting in and out. The former BI-LO #5113 would need extensive renovations for Publix to move in, or the retail center would need to be razed for Publix to construct a completely new store.

I feel the same. Only repeating what I was told.

It will be interesting to see if Publix locates at Cypress Shopping Center instead of The Commons at Turtle Creek. A new Publix store could take up to 18 months to open.
