The Greenville County sheriff indicates that investigators have some suspects.

This type of ignorant activity burns me up. Killing innocent people with their ignorance. Tougher punishment may help curb this type of stuff. Take an innocent life maybe yours should be taken.

I have a feeling some alcohol and/or drug abuse played a role in this. There were two house parties near the park that were broken up that night.

She was an innocent bystander of so called gang members. Or losers.

Default Pavilion Recreation Complex, 400 Scottswood Road, Taylors, South Carolina 29687-4250

I wonder if security at the Pavilion will be improved after the fatality.

The same exact thing happened last year (?) in Charleston. The biggest problem here is not the party or celebration, but the idea of a public invite. I don't think the Pavilion should change anything, but people that host things need to make their events private and exclusive. Don't post the event on Facebook and just let half of Greenville show up.

It seems whenever these stories happen, that is always the case. Randos show up and things get out of control. Unfortunate situation.

I didn't say they were hosting anything. I said they shouldn't change anything aka you don't need extra security, new hours, etc. People that weren't invited showed up and it got out of control.

Seems like an overplayed trope when you see it on movies and TV, but these situations always get out of control in real life.

The Pavilion's last event was at nine pm that evening and this incident had nothing to do with the Pavilion. The only increase I could see would be Greenville County Sheriff presence. Sad loss for the family. Condolences to her family.

I would not mind seeing Greenville Rec install access gates to close the complex after hours. That could help keep vehicles off premises overnight.
