Has anybody ever been tubing on the Saluda River over in Easley through the Saluda River Yacht Club? I am wondering how fast the river moves on that stretch.

I did not even realize there was a tubing place over there until I saw it mentioned in an article about the new music venue coming to Woodruff.

Not thru the yacht club, but have been down the Saluda. The part we went on was pretty slow and easy going. Now, the Green River, I almost drowned when I got knocked out of the tube and was pulled under a tree limb

It is super slow moving and the water is very warm. The Lower Green river in Saluda, NC is probably a better choice for most people looking for a fun afternoon.

Thanks for the info. I probably will try the Green since it isn't too far.

We tried the Saluda. It was not good a good trip. . Green is much better. There are several tubing company options to choose from on the Green as well.

Super nice people that run the shop up in Rosman. Great place to go if someone is interested in learning the art of fly fishing. They also run canoe camping and tubing trips on the headwaters of the French Broad.
