'According to population estimates, Greenville is fourth among 15 of the fastest-growing large cities in the U.S. at 5.8 percent, with an estimated population of 67,453 as of July 1, 2016. '
At least then it would be closer to it's real size.
I could see annexation northward along Poinsett Highway toward Cherydale and eastward along Wade Hampton toward Taylors. I wonder if it would run into problems with special purpose districts like Parker District and Wade Hampton Fire and Sewer District.
70k is a town, not a city. I was in Greenville recently and really liked it, but honestly 70k? I live in Broomfield CO and we're right at the same size.

Yeah, Greenville being 70,000 is a joke. I understand it's just the city limits but it's incredibly misleading. We're definitely in the mid-sized city range. Heck, US & World Report includes it in their 100 largest metropolitan areas (believe it uses that ~800,000 number) for Best Places to Live (we were the 29th best in the most recent survey BTW).

Do your homework. Bloomfield is a consolidated city/county with a population of about 60,000. Greenville County has a population of about 500,000. We are more than 8 times larger than your little county.
