We are considering relocating from lowcountry SC to the upstate and one of the considerations is possibly building a home. Not a mansion, however. Is it even possible to build a nice, smallish home in that area and do so for about $275,000 to $300,000, including the property? If not, any recommendations on a good realtor who could find us something in that price range? Proximity to OLLI Furman, the Swamp Rabbit Trail and the cultural opportunities in Greenville are what is drawing us to this area. Thanks!

Where in and surrounding Travelers Rest are you considering to locate?

You could get what many would describe as a mansion for $300,000 in the Travelers Rest area.

I can recommend a builder that is very reasonable and builds in that area.
