So, I went a week without power or internet. Duke did their job of restringing lines and cleaning up. Charter came out and restrung a feed line from pole to pole and got my internet back. Problem is they left about 300 feet of cable laying across my front yard. This isn't thin RG6 or Rg11, but heavy inch thick cable with a steel guy wire attached. I called charter to ask why they did not take the old cable with them and their response was it was my responsibility to get rid of it. This stuff is so stiff and rigid it cannot be rolled up. I guess they are just showing their true colors not being able to clean up their mess. I guess I need to buy some bolt cutters and chop it into pieces to get rid of it.

Not surprised. A few years ago when living in a condo in Asheville, Charter disconnected my DirecTV cable inside a locked box when they were installing cable for the unit next door. I got home from work, turned the TV on and no picture. I figured out what had happened when I asked my new neighbor if he had cable installed that day, and I saw cut pieces of cable near the box. I called them, and I was told that since I was not a customer, it would be two weeks before they came out to fix it. This left me livid of course. I was able to break into the box and reconnect my cable, but sure enough, two weeks later someone showed up to fix it. I was dumbfounded.
