Cheeseburger Bobby's in the Atlanta burbs would be nice to have here. I think someone has mentioned but I would like a MOD Pizza as well.

They're in Hilton Head too. Good food. Though don't order the whiskey sour, stick to the beer.

We have plenty of decent BBQ restaurants, but I have yet to find REAL eastern NC BBQ here. It's the vinegar and pepper styled barbeque found east of I-95 in NC (where I grew up). There is a chain called Smithfield's that is actually quite good, and it would make me so happy to see it here! There's just something about the sweet slaw, bbq, Brunswick Stew, fried chicken and hushpuppies that I can't find here.

Oh my! That brings back memories! Alas I no longer eat fried chicken, but when I lived in Raleigh I sold a lot of homes around Route 42 in Johnston County- would always stop at Smithfields and bring home some of theirs! It was so good!

While we don't have a place like Plant in Asheville, there are many places here that are mostly vegan and/or have vegan options. There is Sun Belly Cafe, Heaty +Hale, Swamp Rabbit Cafe, several Chinese and Thai places, Biscuit Head, even Bar Louie and many more where you can get a good vegan meal. LTO serves the Beyond Meat burger.

Smithfield's has to be one of the best chain BBQ places anywhere. The BBQ is good, the sides are great, and the prices are reasonable. Not quite as good as the best local Eastern NC BBQ places but pretty close. Would love to see them expand into this market.
