It is cool that the former mill town Greenville is on a list with a bunch of tourist towns at the beach and in the mountains.

I loved my time in Greenville and if it weren't so far from my kids (Seattle area), we would probably retire there. On a side note, I work right now in Kuwait and I found out our Proj Mgr lived for 1 year in Greenville 12 years ago....when I asked him what he thought of Greenville, he said it was the best year of his life and he will jump on any opportunity to go back.

This is exciting and yet tough to swallow at the same time. It's nice to hear them call us a small city still all though it feels much bigger now than it has in the past. I continue to believe that Greenville is a great place for all who come and visit and those of us who have made Greenville our home, however the growth that comes with it does make for a lot of adjustments along the way. Example, commuting from point a to point b takes a lot longer now than before. Otherwise, I am grateful for Greenville and all the people involved in making Greenville what it has become and continues to evolve into.

Agree. Even if some of the article's content is rather subjective, Greenville is a fabulous little city that certainly holds its own. We have friends there, have visited a couple of times, and have all but decided to relocate there on our next move.
