I'm a single professional active lady trying to decide to move to Greenville or Hendersonville/Brevard Area.
I know many of the plus & minuses of each area, yet I'm curious as to where I'd find more 45-55 singles.
Thanks for any insights.
Greenville pretty easily. Hendersonville and especially Brevard aren't on the same level. You could date in either, but Greenville will give you much more opportunities, and imo has better date spots.
Check Meetup for local groups. I know all 3 areas well and will agree, GVL would have more options, but that doesn't mean you can't find dates in the other areas.
Why not pick the area you like the best and if you meet people in one of the other areas you just travel. You can be in DT Hendersonville is an hour, depending on your location, and Brevard is another 20-25 min. My BF lives an hour and a half away, its no biggie IMHO.
Thank you for the replies. You are exactly right Eldemila, and finding Mr. Right is not even the priority of the move.
I love all 3 areas, and since I adore hiking, mtn biking, nature and gorgeous mtn views, it'll most likely be western NC even though real estate will be probably be more expensive.
Smiles- you can live in this area and have gorgeous mountain views as well- in Travelers Rest, and parts of Greer and Taylors. I love to hike, and most of the places I go are about an hour away. I do have to venture 1.5 hours sometimes. Still not bad. I like living in Greenville where there is so much to do.

I live in Greer and have the same activities with exception of the biking. It's not a big deal for us to go to NC - was there 2 days ago and probably go up there once a week, or so. Brevard would be the best if you really like those activities, it's so easy to get to all the wonderful waterfalls in the area, and not too far from Pickens and Oconee waterfalls as well. Close to Asheville, Highlands, and Cashiers, and of course, the Blue Ridge. My parents go in to Brevard all the time, even though it's a small town, there is always something going on for them, it seems.
Best of luck on your future move!!!
