Southeastern Grocers closed ninety-four BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harvey's Supermarket, and Winn-Dixie stores; divested stores to competitors; and emerged for bankruptcy. It is going to incur expenses for store remodels now?

Noticed today that some of signage on the Bi Lo in Five Forks was off the building. The main Bi Lo sign was still up but the food, pharmacy, bakery, cafe signage had all been removed. It would be surprising if they were doing anything inside. That store got remodeled fairly recently. Any chance they might be rebranding or changing their logo?

I think some stores could be undergoing aesthetic improvements such as matching the new decor.

I just posted tonight in the Verdae Village thread with an Instagram picture of a new color scheme on a Columbia store. The Verdae Village store is being refreshed as well inside and out.

Landlords must be footing the dime. Lol. Otherwise it’s like rearranging deck chairs on the titanic. But that center has potential. I wouldn’t mind seeing Publix do a tear down there.

Southeastern Grocers can spend whatever funds it has remaining to make remaining stores look nice. When stores continue to perform badly, Southeastern Grocers will need to consider why it chose to waste time and money on frivolous updates.

Some store locations if acquired by Pubix could be torn down dependent on the extent of Publix's specifications.

Yep. Drove past this morning. One section has the green and white now. The color scheme certainly looks more up to date.

Those colors look a lot like the colors of Lowes Foods stores. Maybe Bi-Lo is hoping the North Carolina chain will buy them out, and the new color schemes would make converting the stores a lot easier.
