Tomorrow, in honor of Veterans Day, the Military History Center will have an Open House. Admission is free. In addition to the military vehicles and memorabilia from America's conflicts of the 20th Century and thru today, there will also be a special display of artifacts from World War One in observance of the 100th anniversary of America's participation. We will be open from 10 AM to 5 PM. We are located at the South Ramp of the Greenville Municipal Airport, beside the Runway Cafe and playground and across from the Civil Air Patrol building.

How often is the History Military Center of the Carolinas open?

I heard the Civil Air Patrol has had a composite squadron in Greenville.

Not to hijack the thread from the Military History Museum, which is a very worthy project... Greenville's Civil Air Patrol squadron was first chartered in 1957 and has been in existence continuously since them, providing emergency services, such as air and ground search and rescue, as well as aerospace education and cadet programs. It is indeed a composite squadron, meaning it has both senior members and cadets. With over 100 members, it is the largest squadron in the South Carolina Wing.
