That was neat, while it lasted. Its about stopped here in Ft inn. No rain or anything but tiny flakes.

At 3:50, its back to light rain in Ft Inn.

this is a rate dependent system - when precip lightens, temps can rise and changeover (sleet/rain) can take place - very surprising - I expected nothing today - my commute home on I85 was awful just an hour ago

The ground is too warm for much to stick, especially with such large flakes. We were doing yard work in short sleeves just a couple days ago.

It’s back to just rain in east Spartanburg.

My friend called and said the streets were jam packed with people and were gridlock in many places.

Took husband over two hours to go from east Spartanburg to Cabela’s area of Woodruff Road. Sadly, it’s like being back in Virginia. He said everyone was just creeping along and lots of fender benders. He’s now returning . . . We’ll see how long to get back.

not surprising - I85 was a MESS 2 hours ago - at least the snowfall has stopped - it could have been a disaster with snow rates 2 hours ago

Yep, ground too warm to support accumulations long but get heavy enough snow can overcome that for awhile like earlier. Looks like across the south actual snow totals were on the higher end of things. First measurable snowfall *for December* at GSP airport since 2010!
