Greetings,

I will be relocating from out of state mid March and will be living the bachelor life while my wife puts the house up for sale and the kids graduate high school. Consequently I am stuck between a rock and a hard place, wanting someplace affordable and not having to purchase or haul furniture, utensils, etc across country.

Corporate housing, extended stay hotels, and/or furnished apartments are all surprisingly expensive (typically $2,000 a month). Do I need to "make peace" with this expense or does someone have a more affordable alternative? I thank you all in advance for your time and consideration.

Sending pm. There are several extended stays around $1000/mo.

I have a friend who runs an Airbnb out of her lovely townhouse near downtown. Let me know if you would like info.

We had a short/term lease at Crestmont at Thornblade. We rented a one bedroom, w/d, and one-car garage for about $1100/month. It’s right offI85 and Pelham Road behind Michelin’s hq. it was very quiet and convenient while we house-hunted. We used the garage for some storage instead of a Public storage unit. Electric and cable were extra if I remember but not that much.
Best of luck.

Thank you beckycat - I am heading before my husband and am also going to need a place to stay unless we can find the perfect rental & I'm able to support it while he supports our current one here in Tennessee.
