Target missed out on additional store location opportunities indeed. I wonder if Target wants to operate a quantity of quality stores, or if its real estate unit was not aggressive in securing additional store location sites over ten years ago.

Looks like they would consider adding a Super Target with a larger grocery segment.

A SuperTarget is a hypermarket that includes a supermarket. I think Poinsett Highway and Garlington Road were speculated as potential locations.

I don't think they are building those anymore. I only see one at 120,000 sq. ft (normal size) and the rest less than 100,000. Smaller stores are a trend that is catching on in retail. Kohl's is doing the same thing.

Yeah Target is focusing more on City Targets and P-Fresh normal Targets right now. They aren't building very many SuperTargets anymore.
