Yes, I was just going to mention Cherrydale. As long as schools aren't of importance, it's a good place to look. It's is close to the SRT and downtown.
Piggyback question off of original post: Is it still possible to find a fixer-upper "Mill House" close to downtown Greenville in this price range? If schools are a concern, what area would be your first choice?
You can find homes in that price range although the market is competitive look in Fountain Inn, Simpsonville, Taylors, and Berea area, Cherrydale area to choose from.
In addition to the main Swamp Rabbit Trail, there is a small "extension" of the SRT in Fountain Inn. It's just a mile or so in length, but it's a bit of a hidden gem. Fountain Inn has that small town feel you're looking for, and you'd be close to all of that shopping in Simpsonville. There's also the trails around Conastee Lake and the new Doodle Trail near Easley and Pickens, just as some ideas to help guide your search!
