I have a colleague that is looking to rent for about a year while he looks for a place to build a home in our area.
He is looking in the Simpsonville area preferably since he has family in that area. A small house or possibly a clean double wide mobile home will work. One year lease at about $1k or less per month. He has been looking online and has contacted a realtor, but sometimes you miss things, so maybe someone here knows by word of mouth or a private lessor.
His backup plan is to find a lot with utilities so he can purchase a double wide, then plans to rent it out after his house is built. So any decent lots would be appreciated if you know of any.
