Wow, that's horrible about Jack Whitaker.

I sure hope I don't win the next big one.

Yes, but you're limited by how much you have and/or can get. Noone particularly has $450 million to blow through.

I'll take it.. I mean, you keep half your head on your shoulders.. You're set. Don't need to keep the whole thing, just half of it.

I'm thinking the ticket-holder is taking his/her time because they are money-savvy and are developing a plan.

Seems like you would have plenty of time to decide what you want to do with the money after claiming the prize.

I would claim the prize IMMEDIATELY!

I'll tell you what; while you're thinking about it, go ahead and claim your lump sum and open up a six month CD. By the time it matures, you'll have had enough time to decide how best to use it. You can then take out the same amount, but give me the interest. It won't cost you a penny!

That's what everybody is saying but the official word from the lottery people is that NOBODY has come forward at all.

Now I could certainly be wrong, but I'm kinda thinking it might be important to let the people holding the money know you've won.... But that's me.

Lady I know claims to know the guys neighbor who won. Said he's a young 20 something mechanic. No idea if true. Guess we will find out one day. You would think if one neighbor said something, others know too.

I was standing in line at Walmart & was talking to a guy that works at ZF Transmissions. He said he knew the guy that won (also works/worked at ZF Transmissions). He told me that guy's first name. I'm not sure what the hold up is.

I hope the kid signed the ticket, as apparently a bunch of people have seen it.
