Next Thursday night/Friday mmorning seems to be the next time that there's a chance. And that will likely be a dusting.

But, once again, it's timed to happen right at morning rush to screw everything up there.

Not certainly. I always understood it was due to hit around the first week of February. And, that's still 10 days off. So.. With the uncertainty of forecasting that far out.. I wouldn't say it's out of the equation yet. And it's still set to be cold. Low is forecast for 24 degrees on Friday night. of the next 10 days, 7 are forecast to be 30 or below for the low.

There’s your wedge / CAD (Cold Air Damming), still hanging on keeping us low 40’s while just S of here easily in 60’s. Cold air trapped along base of mountains. One of the few places that experience this phenomenon.

Tuesday now our next chance of something frozen into the area. Just 10-30% chance as of Fri 25Jan. Models have been trending a little more cooler and moisture closer. Will see if trend continues or not.
(Colors are % chance of 0.25” liquid in the form of sleet/snow which means chance of seeing 2.5” of sleet/snow):

Sat 26Jan first call snow maps out this afternoon from local NWS GSP office for Tuesday, looks like cold air chasing moisture which typically doesn’t work out for us but a decent shot of at least seeing some flakes as pulls out, temps drop to low 20’s Tuesday night as/after it passes.

For Greenville/Spartanburg cities:
NWS GSP snow maps (0” predicted, possible range 0”-1”):

Mon 28Jan AM: Local NWS GSP Forecast for Tuesday has remained unchanged since Saturday here, 0-1” snow possible, most likely zero, only 45% chance of a dusting. Looking at QPF maps there isn’t much moisture to work with, so even if we’re lucky to see any snow fall too bad it’s all tapped out. Temps into the low 20s & Windchills down into the teens may be bigger story this week.

Looks like the NWS updated the forecast to include snow mixing in even tomorrow afternoon in the GSP area (already had a 30% chance of snow tomorrow evening). Still little to no accumulation. Of course, I'm hoping they're wrong and we get a foot j/k

Not surprising, back edge quickly dried up and no snow reported in SC that I saw. Wasn’t much moisture to go around as was well predicted. Cold chasing a simple passing front rarely gives us snow. NW side of Atlanta got in on the snow action breifly though (no fair!). I would think most areas will dry out before temps drop overnight into 20’s but if any puddles remain they’ll easily freeze. Now for the cold but weekend looking warmer!

And.. Next week, supposed to be just shy of 70 most of the week. Mid to high 60's.. With a fair amount of rain.

If we ever get the temps and moisture to match up..
