Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on the communities in the Lake Cooley area?

We're planning to relocate to the GSP area, and this area seems to meet our wishes. It's rather rural, yet seems fairly close to Spartanburg and Greenville (to a degree)

My concern would be the close proximity to that Vulcan quarry, and the Spartanburg landfill.
Does anyone know how that affects traffic or air quality?

Any other thoughts on life in the Lake Cooley area are greatly appreciated!

(Lake Cooley is a lake owned by SJWD between Lyman and Inman in Spartanburg County.)

I have not experienced bad air around the quarry and the landfill. Traffic on Little Mountain Road is not bad near Inman Road.

Gibbs Road is a connecting road from Inman Road to John Dodd Road. It is not a fun road to drive.
