Saw a big banner in front of the Easley BiLo declaring "still serving the local community"

If you have to say it you are in real trouble!

Just kill it already. I’m tired of waiting. It’s like Sears. Just die already.

BI-LO #5283, Rockville Plaza, 1021 South Pendleton Street, Easley, South Carolina 29642-1045, is dead. It does not have customer traffic.
Ingle's #251, 410 Pelzer Highway, Easley, South Carolina 29642-2106, and Publix #205, Center Point, 6525 Calhoun Memorial Highway, Easley, South Carolina 29640-3669, are busier and are producing sales. I look for BI-LO #5283 to close in the next round of store closings and BI-LO to exit Pickens County.

Southeastern Grocers still has a quantity of under performing BI-LO stores to close.

They have fallen from favor in NC according to family and friends I have heard from recently. Harris Teeter and Publix attract the higher end consumer, and Walmart an Food Lion take the rest of the business, along with Lidl and Aldi. Looks like BI-LO is being squeezed out.

I'd say so. Bi-lo only has around a dozen or fewer stores left in all of NC I believe. Why bother at this point? In the Charlotte Market Harris Teeter, Walmart and Food Lion are pretty much in a dead heat for top market share.

After Monday, 25 March, Southeastern Grocers will have 12 stores in North Carolina: 11 BI-LO stores and one Harvey's store. I would not be surprised to see a market exit from North Carolina and possibly Chester, Chesterfield, Lancaster and York counties in South Carolina.
