I agree with Art123's suggestions. I would also add High Cotton Maverick Bar & Grill, Larkin's on the River, Rick Erwin's West End Grille, American Grocery Restaurant, and of course the quaint and romantic Wine Café at Northampton Wines. There are several others that I could easily include, but for now these would certainly be good options to consider.

If you like Fondue there is always the Melting Pot on Haywood Road. You can cut costs by just doing cheese and desert or one of their 3 course for 2. See menu The Melting Pot. Click on the Greenville restaurant and then on the next screen choose menu. It's in pdf.

I can't believe I forgot about Chophouse... I guess I was thinking about Downtown restaurants. My wife and I went to Chophouse for an anniversary and we both got Filet. The bill was right at $100, and we whine a little about every steak we've had since that one. They age their beef for 28 days minimum which really give it a flavor second to none. Their filet is so tender I could cut it with my fork. The lights are low, and they play lots of Sinatra. It makes you feel like you're back in time.

Default Another option

The wife and I had a REALLY nice romantic dinner at Stax Peppermill. On fridays they have live smooth jazz in the lounge that is also pumped into the dining area. The lounge includes luxurious couches. We dined in a lavish horseshoe shaped bench that included pillows. I had the Tuscan lamb, which was yummy and presented beautifully and my wife ordered from the "Tableside Delights" menu, in which your meal is cooked on an open-flame at your tableside. The staff worked dilligently as a team to provide a superb dining experience for us and the owner stopped by our table for a short and seemingly sincere chat. We have been to both High Cotton and Restaurant O and found Stax Peppermill our favorite (at least on Friday night) with O coming in a very close second. That's not to belittle High Cotton tho, which is also a superb experience.

My mouth is watering.......LOL
My husband and I dine out a lot. Sometimes with the kids and sometimes without. It's usually a Friday family night or date night. Here in Seattle we have some amazing places to dine.......and I'm starting to see we won't have to give up that tradition! Lots of cool "couple" restaurants as well as family dining.

Other than Olive Garden lol, is there any place that has pasta and salad and also has seafood or steak on the menu? Hubby likes seafood, I don't and I'm not a big meat eater.
