Default Good natural looking highlights?

Does anyone know of a good stylist that does highlights that don't look like chunks o' blonde or skunk stripes? In a few weeks the grow out is awful! I think my old stylist used to do my highlights with semi-permanent haircolor, but every time I mention that to a stylist here they look at me like I am an idiot ("..but that won't 'lift'!") I WANT the hightlights to gently fade over time. Am I out of luck??

Hi Buddydog :-)

Haven't had my hair highlighted yet (but with the grays I have popping up, I don't think I'm far away from starting), but I've seen my stylist's sisters highlights and they look Great!

My stylist is Jenn Bigsby at Augusta Place Salon. It's near downtown Greenville, so a bit of a hike from our neck of the woods, but I think she's worth it.

Rhonda

Thanks Rhonda, Buddy doesn't need the highlights yet, just his mom...lol.

Glad to be settling in and getting back to routines like haircuts and such. Now if all those boxes would just magically find places to unpack themselves and go away!

Buddy and Teri

Angela is the best hair dresser, I have dark brown hair and I get it highlighted, I am a Platinum blonde now, also I wanted to go red and my hair was blonde, she was able to get it with out a crazy pink, or orange. Anyone who knows color that is hard. She is the best person I found for color or highlights!
