FWIW - the Bi-Lo at main and Hwy 14 in Simpsonville is scheduled to go dark April 15th. I wonder if the other “orphaned” stores will follow that timeline.

I saw the same somewhere about the Vaughns @ E. North St store. Those stores will probably be finished by end of first quarter as the stores usually empty fast once they start the closing sales weeks before.

Which one of these stores is being converted to something else and which ones are closing for good?

I only know about the Pelham Road store which was scheduled to close but was saved by Lowes.

Pretty sure Lowe’s/KJs has completed their portion of the acquisition. Vistatiger posted a link above that lists all the stores Food Lion is acquiring. I haven’t heard of any other party going after any of the remaining stores in this area. So if a store isn’t on that list it’s probably going to be vacant.

The last I heard, SEG said they were seeking "strategic options" for the remaining BI-LO stores. Obviously, we have no idea what that means.

Unless they can find a buyer, the remaining available stores will go dark: https://www.postandcourier.com/busin...becd0a4a0.html

What about the ones on East North Street and the one in Mauldin?

North Pleasantburg@ Rutherford in Foothills Plaza too. No buyer so far. Probably want be missed with nearby Ingles @ Cherrydale, another Ingles further down Rutherford and the new HT at NorthPoint.

They are all going to look like the store on Woodruff@Butler that has been dark and empty for several years now unless they find a taker.
