Default Relocating to Simpsonville, SC

I'm relocating from Alabama to Simpsonville, SC, everyone seems to be very nice but I hear it is unsafe and crime is very bad. My wife and I are leasing a home for a year to see if this is the place to live for a while or not. My wife will be looking for a job in a few months and I hear the unemployment rate is very bad. if anyone has any information they want to share about Greenville/Simpsonville please do so.

Your info could not be more wrong. Simpsonville/Greenville has one of the lowest crime rates in the country. Especially Simpsonville.
If you call the Chamber of Commerce in simpsonville, they will be glad to help you find info. Good Luck! It's a wonderful place to live and raise a family. The economy is great. What line of work or you looking for?

My cousin moved her family from Florida to Simpsonville South Carolina in the Summer of 1995 and loves it there. We just visited her in December and she says she loves it there.

She also says the schools are great and the community is wonderful. She said she would never leave.

We will be moving to Rock Hill South Carolina when our home sells here in Florida.

Hope this was helpful. Good luck.

Trey--you can check crime statistics for any city if you search a little, using Google. It's hard for me to believe Simpsonville is dangerous--it's so little! I do know that the Greenville-Spartanburg area has a fairly high crime rate (but not as bad as some other places). But that didn't deter me from moving here--I just don't hang with a bad crowd, and I do live in a safe neighborhood. That's no guarantee, but there are no guarantees anywhere.
