I am from columbus, Ohio and took a job in simpsonville. I have only been to the area once and know virtually no one. I am 26 years old and single and need a place to live. I was thinking an apartment complex with a pool and maybe some people my age. I guess my main concern is living somewhere that it would be easy to meet people my age. If anyone has any suggestions for me i would really appreciate it. I will be in town June 7-10 to try and find something. Thanks!

Bill

If your looking for an apartment complex to meet people your age, I would suggest the Plantations at Haywood. Lots of people in the 20-30 age. Lots of people hanging out by the pools on nights and weekends. Lived there for a year and made about 20 friends. Very large complex. Simpson Property Group | Dwell in Satisfaction
Rent is $600-900 a month.

Thanks! Is there anything downtown, and would that be a good place to live?

Downtown would be a great place to live (assuming you mean Greenville). I would look at Mcbee Station. McBee Station They don't have a pool though. The rest of downtown is mainly condo's for sale. Maybe you could find someone willing to rent out their condo. Good luck

If you were to live in downtown Greenville and work in Simpsonville, you would have the fortune of driving opposite the vast majority of the traffic morning and afternoon. Your commute would be a breeze!

I swear I'm not being sarcastic :-)

McBee Station does have a pool. A fairly large one in fact. Here are pics of it: Photos of McBee Station Greenville, SC

Thanks g-man,

Somehow I missed the pool when I went to check it out. Looks like a large nice one too.
